Vijay is the Chief Architect for Symantec's Cloud Platform Engineering(CPE) Organization. Vijay has 13 years of experience in the security software domain spanning Cloud based security, network-based intrusion detection and virtualized security. He conceived and designed the Symantec Data Analytics Platform, which hosts Symantec’s security intelligence data and complex analytical applications. He was the lead architect for the Reputation-based Security technology (Symantec Insight) that won the Wall Street Journal technology innovation award for 2010. He have also served as an architect for network protection technologies and a Symantec-Intel joint partnership, which involved the use of virtualization technologies to protect endpoints.

His professional interests include network security, design and development of large scale data processing systems, linux kernel development, exploiting virtualization technologies for securing end points. He was authored several patents on network security and cloud based protection technologies. 

He competed his Masters in Technology (Computer Science) from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay.
